Beauty and the Beast is one of my girlfriend's favorite stories. I actually am not that familiar with the story but took her to see it because she likes it. According to her the movie was basically just like the Disney cartoon movie from the 90's but live action. She knew and sang all the songs as the movie progressed. The makeup and visual effects were great. The film is basically a musical with elements of action, drama, romance, comedy, and suspense. It was enjoyable to watch and I actually bought her the Blu-Ray when it was released so her kids could see it as well. If your kids like Disney movies, let them see it..

I know there was some backlash with this film and I think it is ridiculous. People have to take a classic good thing and poo-poo on it. I did not find any offensive depiction in this particular story. It was very well done, elegant and really good effects added in too. Always a favorite story of mine. Loved watching this with my 3 kiddos!

The original animated Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite movies of all time, so I was a little scared/skeptical when this was announced, but that fear was misplaced. This is a very well done adaptation that does the original justice, while setting the story in a photorealistic world. Blu Ray bonuses are great. Wonderful for all ages.

I absolutely loved everything about this movie. It truly captured the essence of the original and brought it to life in a wonderful life action adaption. Combined with some new scenes that were not in the original and new songs it was a welcoming invitation. To a new but familiar experience. Not to mention an incredibly gifted and diverse cast.

This is the first steelbox Edition of a Blu-ray that I ever purchased. It is very nicely made and is indeed worth the extra few bucks it cost to get it. A quick word of advice though, if you want these exclusive store versions you must get there relatively early on the day it's released. I arrived at 2:30 pm on release day and there were only 2 copies left. As far as the movie is concerned, I don't really recommend the 3D version, as (at least in the theatre we watched it in) scenes were blurred and somewhat pixellated. The blu-ray version does not suffer this same fate. All in all it is very much worth the price!

I've been a fan of Beauty and the Beast since I was a kid, and a Harry Potter fan since I was a kid. This is one of my new all-time favorite movies. The animation is perfect. The classic songs are performed so wonderfully. Everyone was casted so perfectly and it is entertaining for those who love the classic as well as present-day little ones.

I highly recommend this movie for all but the very youngest age groups. My granddaughters are 6 and 7 and watched it with my husband and myself. The youngest was a little scared during the scene with the wolves (which is a little intense for younger children) but otherwise loved it. It was entertaining and held my interest all the way through.

I really thought I would be disappointed by the acting of Belle. Boy was I wrong. Fantastic movie, I now like it better than the cartoon version. Disney did great with the graphics. The only part I didn't like is that they changed the item he took to the fair. I do like what they changed it to, it just isn't the same. Great movie. Love it.

To be honest I wasn't a big fan of Disney announcing all these Classic being adapted into live action films. But so far, they've all been incredible to watch. Beauty and the Beast had such a perfect cast. It was undoubtedly entertaining from the start to end! So glad to have picked up on steelbook as well. Get art cover on the front and back!

This this is an excellent microwave. Only thing that disappoints me is that the time does not display continuously. It goes to energy saver mode after several minutes. Takes getting used to, been used to being able to glance at microwave for time. However, this is a small inconvenience to the functionality with which I am extremely pleased.

Fantastic live action remake of another Disney classic. Great acting and affects help make this magical story come to life on the big screen! Everything you remember about the animated movie and more brought to life in stunning HD! Great extras and the video and audio are great. It's a must have if you have or haven't seen it in the movies!

I was not sure if the movie could withstand the comparison to the original animated movie. It was even better than the animated version. The songs were as good or better than the original songs and the dancing brought the movie to real life. I strongly encourage anyone wondering the same things I wondered to feel confident in this purchase.

This new iteration of the classic, Beauty and the Beast, shows new and improved insight into the background of Belle and the Beast, and these changes really help the viewer understand why they makes the decisions they do through out the film. The singing of both the original and new songs added to the film are all performed outstandingly.

I loved this picture. The music ,acting and special effects were superb. It was a feel good picture and it let you forget all the nastiness and disruption that's going on in the world today. I had never seen Beauty and the Beast in the animated form before, so this was my first time experiencing this wonderful story. Must see for all ages!

My daughter wanted this movie and for the first month or so this was the only movie she would watch on her tablet. I will have to say that it is decently enjoyable for adults as well. As usual there were a few extras that were different from the original movie in the '90s. Overall it is a really good movie for what I needed it for.

My wife really wanted to see this so I picked it up for a movie night. I haven't seen the original to really compare since I first saw it on VHS. Yea it's been a while lol I thought it was a very good remake to the original and could turn into a classic but nothing will ever be as good as the original. Overall still a very good movie.

I wasn't expecting anything more than just a standard big budget film. I bought this as a gift for my wife, who naturally loved the film. I watched it with her thinking I'd spend my time reading or looking at my phone, but I became engaged in the film and ended up liking it a lot. Normally not my kind of film but it was a nice surprise.

My wife and I saw this in the theatre when it was released. We both enjoyed it very much and I planned to add it to my Disney movie collection when it was released to Blu-Ray. Our first grandchild is just over 2 right now but we are looking forward to start to enjoy all of our Disney movies with her when her attention span allows it!

I got this movie for my wife & 2 daughters to enjoy the update to the classic cartoon. It was a great movie and both my son & I also enjoyed it as well. The effects were excellent and its a great addition to our movie collection. The Disney Digital download is awesome as well, allowing me to use a copy on Google Play is a great bonus.

This is a fantastic movie. As with all beauty and the beast movies this one made me cry too. I know it's only a movie but it's a beautifully written story and you can't help but cry or at least be a little teary-eyed. Lol I'll watch it over and over again. I can't wait to have grand children to watch all of the Disney movies with. :)
