Movie follows same storyline as the original Disney cartoon version. Changes it up only slightly. So overall a good movie, some tense parts for the smallest kids but still family friendly. Steelbook has a nice clean design. I personally wish they had switched the images around from front and back but still nice looking.

I didn't get to see this in the theater, but loved it after watching at home. The movie follows the story of the original Disney animated film, while filling in more background on the characters and adding more songs. Although I wasn't happy to see the added lifestyle choice of a main character, it wasn't over the top.

We saw the movie in the theater, since it was a favorite animated movie for my kids and I. The live movie did not disappoint! It was great and stayed true to the story! The special affects were great and the music was good too! Had to buy it, since my daughter rented it from Red Box and watched twice in 1 day!

This is how you do a live remake of an animated movie. This movie hits all the right notes just like the first. They even include a few new songs and scenes. I've enjoyed this movie multiple times. And my daughter has enjoyed it even more! If they keep with this trend I'll be happy to see Aladdin in live action.

As much as I enjoyed this movie, the real star here, is this cool steel book case featuring some amazing artwork. It truly is a great design for the package. The movie itself is very enjoyable, and elaborates more on the story and characters very well. If you enjoyed the animated feature, you are sure to enjoy this!

I was certain I would be disappointed in a live action version of my FAVORITE Disney movie. Boy was I wrong!! This was so well done. The story line was very similar to the animated version. The cast was terrific! The special effects were spectacular!! I would highly recommend this to any movie/musical lover!

I absolutely loved this movie. It was fun, I was quite suprised to hear how nice Emma's voice was, The transition from hating the beast to her falling in love with him was really quite natural and sweet. Great acting, great singing.

Bought this for my squirrelfriend when it came out. Had to convince her to get Blu Ray version (cuz DVDs are almost obsolete now...) But, surprisingly, it was good! I did like that they kept the script pretty close to the same original animated version. However, I'm still confused on what all the fuss was about with the LeFou parts - I don't want to reference anything here (cuz I don't want to offend anyone), but in 2017 and we're concerned with that stuff still? Just seems unreasonable to be disturbed by it... I don't know - it's my review and my opinion... :)

I was hesitant about this live-action re-make of the classic cartoon, but was pleasantly surprised! Mocap was excellent for the Beast. Songs were even better than original. Digital effects were spectacular, especially the dining room scene. I highly recommend this and will watch it over again to catch new things!

I bought this for my girlfriend. While the movie itself is familiar if you've seen the animated movie, I will choose to focus on the features and overall quality. The audio mix was overall competent, albeit unlevel. Songs would be robust and grand before turning to whispered, restrained dialogue, which resulted in riding the volume through the film. The overall image is solid, the transfer looks great. The colors are vibrant. The special features are nicely put together. Overall a solid release. I'd recommend if you're OK seeing the same story twice.

This live action adaptation of the original animated movie was quite enjoyable. I didn't have high hopes going into this watch, however it was very entertaining. I still believe that the original is a classic, although, the updated version holds its own. I highly recommend this film, you will not be disappointed.

Some worthwhile changes from the classic animated version, particularly as regarding plot details. Emma Watson would never be mistaken for Idina Menzel ("Frozen", for example) in singing ability, but she was better than adequate and has a real presence onscreen. Adults may appreciate the (very mild) gay jokes.

I must confess, I watched this movie by myself and enjoyed every minute. Most of the time if I do this I would run in the kitchen to do something without pausing the TV, but I didn't even do anything so as not to miss a single scene. Can't wait for my great granddaughter to come over so we can watch it together.

It seems that usually remakes of classic movies fall short of their predecessors. That is not the case here. I believe I enjoyed this one as much as the original animated version. Emma Watson is not just Hermoine Granger any more. She is all grown up and was an amazing Belle. Absolutely worth the time and money.

I enjoyed this quite a bit, and really thought the overall production value was high. However, not long into the film I remember thinking, this makes me want to watch the original 1991 animated film. The CG was not as good as it could have been, and I think it could have done a lot better if they had used some practical effects and makeup for the beast and not solely CGI. The new songs were not memorable, they seemed to detract from the quality of the original music. All that being said, this was still fun to watch and a good date night movie with my wife.

Great movie. This Live Action version of Beauty and The Beast is just as good and dare i say even a little more better than the cartoon. Not knocking the classic cartoon. I just believe they did a very good job with the Live Action movie. Either way both versions of the movie is a must see for all families. :)

The movie is a great classic done well. Wonderful cast and superb sets, music and the list goes on. It came with many extras to watch. I like the digital download option and Blu-ray option. It was the main reason I purchased this edition.

An extraordinary film. It represents the need for a different look towards the other. As we read in The Little Prince by A. de Exupery: "the essential is invisible to the eyes" is clearly shown in the film through the relationship between Bella and Beast. Emma Watson, as always, delights with her performance.

I love the design of this steelbook. The 4K transfer adds quality to the movie and the audio upgrade shows an increase in some of the musical numbers. It could possibly be a little better but if you are a fan I think this is the version you want to own.

No gonna lie, I'm usually a snob with the original Disney movies. Beauty and the Beast is my all time favorite Disney Classic. However, this live-action retelling is amazing! It answered questions from the animated movie and have a couple of other really great songs! Overall, they knocked it out of the park!
