Somewhat disappointing. Over the top production values of course but Emma Watson's voice not strong enough to wow you. After all we have been listening to music for years ,they should have considered people would be expecting more knockout powerful vocals

Disney really lavished their attention on this film, Not sure exactly how the story went in other productions, but it worked. Did not realize it was going to basically be a huge musical though. But it's Disney so should have realized it. Was worth watching.

This is essentially a carbon copy of the animated film but it has none of the charm. It just feels souless,like a lot of these live action Disney remakes. Wasn't really a fan of this at all despite me trying to force myself to like it. Just didn't happen.

Great art and special effects. Belle and the others were cast well. The major flaw with the film is the political agenda. The entire movie was undermined by this agenda. The colors and the beast were amazing. The story was true to the original story.

Movie was ok but in comparison to other kids movies this one was a little slow and confusing and not as adventurious as other kid movies. My daughter has only watched this one time and hasnt requested it since and shes 7 now and was 6 when we got it

Belle was not as bubbly. Emma Watson's portrayal was a little nonchalant and unhappy in the beginning. I fell asleep part way through because it was so boring. The latter part of the movie kept me awake a little better. Overall disappointing.

This version of Beauty and the Beast isn't bad. I prefer the animated version. As far as the steelbook packaging, its not great. The other steelbooks I have are sturdier feeling, this one was dinged, and it flexes more than the others I have.

Nice set pieces, costumes and design. But wasn't for me. Enjoy the cartoon version so much more. Everybody tried really hard, like it was a live TV version. But not enough power or emotion behind it to warrant a full fledged movie.

Well, you just can't reach the standards of Disney's still unsurpassable animated masterpiece of 1991. I was four years old in 1991, so of course I'm biased. However, the live action movie of this year could have been better. I liked Luke Evans as Gaston, but Emma Watson just wasn't quite right as Belle. Josh Gad was just plain annoying as LeFou. Dan Stevens was rather bland as Beast - Robbie Benson's voice over was complex and compelling. The castle characters are good. The music was overall well done. Alan Menken's score was excellent as usual. The movie is well paced and the back stories add a new level of interest, but there was still something lacking.

Once you look beyond the fact that the movie takes place in France but the lead character isn't French, the movie itself isn't bad. There is some new music which wasn't in the cartoon version and she actually sings well.

Not as good as the animated masterpiece but a noble attempt. Steelbook is great but Best Buy employees have a tendency to cut products with a box cutter as the open the cardboard box which is what happened to my copy.

There are some things tht should be left alone, and this was one of them. Emma Watson is fantastic, but just turning an animated classic into a live action film with a few added songs made this film disappointing.

This movie is adequate, but not as good as the original in nearly every way. It's not bad, but it's just unnecessary. I would say it's worth seeing for fans of the original, but don't expect to be blown away.
