By the way, when charging a device make sure that it's free from foreign objects, like keys or a wallet, on or near the charging pad that could affect charging.

Phone overheated while charging

By comparison, the phone charging while attached to a cord (land line) does not get hot at all and seems to charge faster. I ended up going back to charging directly with a land line.

The Belkin BOOST CHARGE Wireless Charging Stand 10W has an operating temperature of 0°C to 40°C, 10-90% RH. You can remove the phone or the phone case if the issue persists, and try to place another phone on the charging pad for isolation.

The other I sometimes have to fiddle with the plug to get it to work. I've already thrown the boxes away so I can't take the one back. I would like to see them design one for the car.
