Great but Maybe Two to Test

The display ports worked on one but but not on the other. I switched them to see if it was a compatibility issue or just a faulty product. Turns out it was the product. I’m always questioning the user too so made sure I wasn’t being a dummy too. :)

Must have for Macbook Pro

I was surprised how Mac has eliminated ports, and connectors but this gives you all the freedom back. I keep it on my desk for external monitor, headset, and network connectors to make office use a dream!

Ethernet port dies when under load

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.To be fair, I’m currently in discussions with @BelkinCares on Twitter trying to get my issue resolved. I had high hopes for this dock, but I’ve had an issue with the Ethernet port cutting out when I’m in a video conference call after about 30 minutes (presumably when network traffic is high). It appeared that this was likely due to the MacBook Pro’s power supply being only 61W (the dock states 65W minimum is needed) - so I purchased and put into use a 97W Apple Power Supply only to now be told that “a 97W power supply is beyond the docks power requirement that may cause damage to the dock.” There is no statement in the requirements of a “maximum” limit! I have only three things plugged into the dock - the power cable from the power supply, an HDMI cable, and an Ethernet cable. When the Ethernet port fails - the computer still sees it as “active” so it doesn’t auto-switch over to using WiFi. To resolve the situation a quick unplug / replug of the docks connection to the computer resolves the issue. I’m using it with an Apple MacBook Pro 13” (Touch Bar version)

This does the job nicely and has all the ports I need. Remember, that the power supply included with your PC will likely not provide enough watts to drive the docking stations and your computer so you may have to buy an additional power supply cable/brick.

Definitely worth the money! Super fast!

The only issue is… and this may be different for everyone.. is where the adapter plugs into my laptop. The cord is really short and if you need to plug something into the adapter it tends to slide under the laptop. Then when you go to set the laptop back on it right you have to fight with it again bc the cord is short. It’s still pretty sweet tho.

Works well but is limited

Also doesn't seem to work with a switch to allow the monitors to be used by a PC, such as if you have a home desktop and work laptop. With remote work becoming more prevalent, this would've been nice. Won't even do 2x HD in that case - just 1 monitor.

Your feedback is important to us! The supported maximum monitor resolutions depend upon the number of monitors being connected and used at the same time as well as the power of the computer. While the dock can support up to the resolutions and refresh rates up to 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz for dual-setup, and 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz for Tri-setup display, your computer may not be able to support them. Please check with your computer manufacturer for supported display.

Make sure you read compatible machines

I'm sure this may be a good docking station for some but if you don't have one of the compatible machines, it may not fully work. I purchased this initially and was using it primarily for the USB ports. I then wanted to use the DisplayPort and HDMI port for my M1 Mac. The HDMI worked great but DisplayPort did not. After going back and forth with support I finally received a replacement unit. That one, had a similar issue with my M1 Mac. I'm sure it would work fine with a compatible laptop but since M1 was not support mine does not.

Great laptop add on!
