As described, it is a short cable, but it works great for how it's designed - connecting USB-C/Thunderbolt devices to the USB-C Macs. It works great with my Macbook Pro and desktop devices (that only need a short distance). It also charges the computer, but the short length makes it difficult to use it for that unless you have a desktop power station.

I use this hooked up to my computer and it is in fact faster when transferring videos and pictures from my android to my pc. I dont know how to test it to give specific numbers but I do know that I dont have to wait for as long as I did before. its also nice to use something other then my USB3.0 connections finally on pc.

Yes, this is just a cable, but after connecting my new Mac to my Time Machine, I realized the benefits Backed-up my old Mac and restored the new one using this cable. Yea, it was fast. What would have taken half a day, took only a few hours. I am impressed and worth the higher price

If you have a computer with a USB-C connection this will allow super fast transfer speeds. Connected to my laptop I can copy over large jpeg files in seconds versus minutes. The cable is not very long but adequate for connecting a backup drive to a computer.

I did not think that a cable would make a difference when transferring files from my phone to my computer! Granted, it was not a huge difference when transferring small amounts of files but when wanting to backup your whole phone, you will notice the time saved. Keep in mind, this cable is USB C on one end and on the other. Also, the quality of the cable is great! The cable is thick and sturdy. Because of this, it is capable of carrying a larger amount of power to charge larger devices as well.

This Belk in cable delivers fast transfer speed between 2 USB-c devices. It is a bit more than a foot long which is just right for most applications. Cable seems to be well constructed and doesn’t kink as easily as some other cables.

This cable works great with my 2018 MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. Data speeds are fast and charges my system nicely. Also, I will be using in the classroom to connect to a 43-inch monitor. The quality of this cable is good.

This is a good quality USB-C/USB-C cable. Works for charging laptops, etc. or connecting external USB-C devices. I had good connection speeds and the cable feels like it will last a while before fraying or anything.

I have a new computer as well as a laptop with thunderbolt ports. I wanted a cable that would utilize those to their full potential. This cable is well made and priced accordingly. It's a little pricey but you're getting quality. It's great for high speed charging as well! I only wish it were a bit longer, 2.6 ft. is a bit short in my opinion. Did I mention speeds? Well, 40 Gbps is quite fast, let me tell you!!! I love the speeds when connecting my phone for picture and file transfers! It's a solid cable that's worth the price.

Overall, perfect cord length and works a advertised. Worked great for thunderbolt to thunderbolt data transfers on my Mac.

At the time of this review 40 is a big number for transfer speeds 40 is almost triple the basic older thunderbolt cable speed. This cable lives up to those claims after having run several common tests. The build quality is grate with a nice thick wire, and solid ends and connections. I would have preferred a braided cable shielding for longevity but I don't have anything to complain about.

The Belkin Thunderbolt USB C cable is not to be confused with an ordinary USB C cable. These cables have a faster transfer rate and with that comes the higher price. Now to be fair, I did read some old reviews that said these cables are prone to burn out in 6 or more months. So I will update you on this post when I do. Tested this on a HDD backup drive for almost 3 weeks and couldn’t be happier. The backup time is noticeably faster and I am excited about getting longer cords to hook up my monitors. I have a Desktop so I need a couple of 6 foot cables to test. Very happy with the results of this cable and well worth the buy!!! Only 4 stars till I am able to test longevity of the cable for you…

As I keep running into more things that use the USB-C connector its good to have a solid cable to keep things connected. This Belkin cable fit the bill. Solid construction and it does not have the flimsy ends that many cables have. So far so good!

I tested the TB3 with my laptop (with SSD) and with WD My Passport SSD. The transfer rate (~340 MB/s) was slightly (<10%) faster than USB 3 and stock (6”) USB C cable and was >4x faster than transfer to/from SD card on the same laptop.

Cord works as it should. Connects my 4K monitor to my laptop and data transfer is high speed. Cord is a little short for a display, but works good.

I used this Belkin Thunderbolt 3 Gen 2 cable to transfer files from my Android phone to my desktop. The files went very fast. Highly recommend.

Now I was not able to check the transfer speeds, however, it appeared to work as it should be. I have no complaints.
