||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These cables are alright. After awhile I have to replace them. I wish the prices were a little lower. I exaggerate and hold off on buying replacement cables due to the cost. Other than that the c port cables are good and fast connection

Perfect if you have a lot of I/O needs
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To be frank, most people won’t have a need for a cable of this performance for a few years. But… if you have a lot of modern I/O devices and want the best performance, this is the one to get! Unboxing: The packaging is simple. It contains the cable, usual warranty info and all the specs on the box, not much to talk about here. Build quality: Not to bad overall. I was kind of hoping for a braided cable, but the cable is a thick rubber. It does feel highly durable and will last. The connectors are high quality in that the base extends a little further into the cable which seems to strengthen the durability if you pull it out from the cable. All connectors feel solid and do not feel like they will break anytime soon. Performance: This is a hard one to test since there are not too many Thunderbolt 3 devices out there. The advertised throughput is 40Gbps which is rather amazing. If you have any Thunderbolt 3 docks with multiple I/O connections, this will provide more than enough transfer speed. Hard drives can not keep up with this thing, but I did try it out with my Sandisk Extreme portable SSD rated at 550MB/s read speeds, I can say that the theoretical maximum was pretty consistent when transferring 2 GB files back and forth. I saw consistent speeds of 500 MB/s which I attribute to hard drives rarely reaching their actual max speed due to several factors. Storage wise, my desktop has a NvME hard drive using PCI Express interface, it was hard to see much difference as the storage devices on the other end were not fast enough to keep up. I was able to test the ability of the cable to handle 4k video though. I hooked it up to my monitor which has a Thunderbolt 3 connection and the output was perfect streaming 4k video. I am very curious about testing this device out with a Thunderbolt 3 compatible external video card as it should easily handle that. Summary: If you run a lot of I/O from your laptop or PC and it also supports thunderbolt 3, go get it! If this is not your use case, you can go for a simpler USB-C cable and probably get results that match your needs. But… if you want a cable that is somewhat futureproofed, go get it! Good job Belkin!

Great Thunderbolt 3 Cable!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This cable is able to provide much faster data transfer speeds compared to USB-C cables when used with devices that support Thunderbolt 3. If your device does not support Thunderbolt 3, you will still be able to use the cable with USB-C speeds. You can also charge your device with it as well. The cable has a nice build quality to it. The cable length is only 2.5 ft, but it's long enough for my needs.

Well Constructed
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a solid cable. It's a little longer than the standard Thunderbolt 3 length (which is useful) and works as advertised. I'm using the cable in a laptop/eGPU arrangement and definitely see the full improvement in the speed of my games. One thing I particularly like is that the cable is slightly thicker than other Thunderbolt 3 cables I've used, and I think it will be more durable.

Quality cable!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love it that most of my devices now are on USB-C-- however, since it is still fairly "new", the cables out there are all crappy. So what's the difference of this cable? 1) The flexibility. Most USB cables I have are not as flexible, like working with a paperclip. This one folds and flexes around where it's connected. My thunderbolt HDD is under my folded legs as it is connected to my laptop. I have no issues with the HDD flipping over or moving weirdly when I move my laptop. It is flexible enough for one end to not bother the other end, even if the cable is not that long. 2) The build. Although I know it is new, the way the ends are connected to the wires, I don't think I will have issues with breaking at the joints. The rubber feels great and you know it is not made of cheap material. Data transfer or charging does not show any difference -- same speeds when I transfer and same rate when I charge. The winning point is the quality and it seems to me that this will last me a good while and that I will use it most often.

Superb Thunderbolt 3 Cable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TB3 cable that is a solid alternative to the Apple TB3 cable. Build quality is as you'd expect from Belkin and this cable supports the insanely fast data transfer that you can get with TB3 devices. I use this for connection to an external drive and the speed is night/day difference from anything else. Absolutely recommend this!!

Belkin never fails!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was needing a new TB 3 cable for my iMac Pro and MacBook Pro and I always start with Belkin. They cost a little more but I totally trust them since thanks to many years of great performance from all my other Belkin products. The cable is the perfect length at 2.6ft. Not too long and not too short, and I believe that it is still a passive cable versus an active cable for 40Gbps speeds. It's thick and the construction seems quite solid while still being very flexible. I tested it by connecting my Apple laptop to my iMac Pro so that it could be used as a 2nd display. It all works instantly and perfectly. This cable can also charge up to 100W which is way more than I need. A second reason I want this specific cable is because I'm looking to get an external TB3 drive and this cable will be absolutely perfect. Again, 40Gbps is ridiculously crazy fast for my backups and day to day usage. I'm super impressed and always glad Belkin has a cable for all my Apple hardware.

Fantastic for what it does
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a well built cable, capable of super fast transfer speed. My office Mac supports TB3 but to test it completely you will need another device with TB3 port. TB3 is not that wide spread at present, so I tested it with my phone S9. I also tested this cable on my PC which comes with RTX 2070 (which also has a USB-C port). Data transfer is fast, very very fast from both Mac and my PC to/from my phone. While connecting, it also fast charged the phone, which is new to me. I meant, you can charge your phone from your PC but for fast charging it always need Qi certified wall plug. Not with this cable (Tested with RTX 2070 USB-C). The cable and connector both seems solid , do note that it is on a shorted side in length but this length is considered the max if you want to maintain TB3 transfer speed. Overall a very fast cable for your usual day to day activities, with added support of TB3, if you want future proofing.
