We hear you. Rest assured that this is not the expected behavior of the cable especially when charging USB power delivery devices. Try charging other compatible devices for isolation. It’s not very flexible and for the cost should be a nice braided cable that’s flexible and feels durable. I wouldn’t recommend this product unless you’re in a pinch and really need to pick one up.

Unfortunately, my old iMac works with a USB C cable, and not the new C on newer Apple products. This was bought to sync and download my iMac to my iPad Pro. It would not work, and when it did, it only happened 15-20% of the time. Don't waste your money. You'll be more frustrated, because it didn't work, and you'll have to return it.

The Belkin 3.1 USB-A to USB-C Cable should work with any USB-C enabled devices with standard USB-A devices and transfer files up to 10Gbps. You can try the cable on a different USB-C or USB-A device to see if there are any difference.
