Terrible cable. It buzzes like crazy and has to be held in a very specific position for the sound to not cut out. Best Buy -- why are you even carrying a product with quality control this bad?

It does the job. There is an extra port to plug in another usb c device if need be.

Disappointing, shouldn't even be sold

Even tried it with different devices and different headphones and nope. I thought well makes sense that it didn't last because it was cheap but then I looked back and realized how much I actually spent on it which was a lot for something that worked less than a month. I wanted the Samsung brand that just had the audio port because that worked for a few years but they don't sell them anymore.

I was willing to ignore the static noise in the background, as I was not sure if the issue was the gadget or my phone. I was also a little worried that the dongle got hot when I used it. Then I made the mistake of rolling up my yoga mat while using it. Static electricity went through the device and straight into my ears. Afterwards, it worked poorly. Now the sound cuts out when I move the dongle even a little while using it. I can use it while lying down and staying still, but not while washing the dishes or doing anything else that requires movement. It's too bad there are no other brands or models for this device at Best Buy.
