I already have a headphone adaptor for my iPad; I bought this because I want to be able to charge and have headphones plugged in at the same time. But when I plug a USB cord to this adaptor to charge, the iPad says "not charging", even though if I plug the very same USB cord directly into the iPad it charges.

Do not get if using with iPad

The technician traced it to this connector. He replaced it with an Apple brand connector and the problem disappeared. This connector then disappeared when i threw it in the trash.

This is totally unexpected as we built the Belkin NPA004 to work with most USB-C enabled devices. You may try using the device on a different compatible device for isolation.
