Listen to audio and charge at same time

It works. However, when charging, a high-frequency noise is emitted along with the audio. The noise is loud enough to be unpleasant and detracts from listening to the audio. Because of this, I only charge my phone when the battery is almost completely empty. This defeats the purpose of the device. (I also own the version made to work with Apple devices -- that uses the lightning connector. It exhibits the same problem but to a lesser degree).
