For as long as your iPhone X, iPhone 8 Plus, or the iPhone 8 runs on iOS 11.2 or later; the Belkin Wireless Charging Pad should be able to charge it up to 7.5 watts. Overall it does work, just make sure the green light is lit before going to bed.
