    The fan on my laptop works erratically so Best Buy salesperson advised me to buy this. You just put the plug in the USB port, turn on the computer and the fan runs. Problem solved.

    This is very convenient, stable and efficient laptop cooling device. The fan runs off the USB port ... turns on with the laptop, turns off when the laptop powers down.

    I've never really had a cooling pad, got one out of paranoia (boyfriends laptop over heated) and use it pretty often. Now after about a month or so, it starts making a grinding sound. I don't know why, it stops sometimes. It's pretty random. Maybe a more expensive one wont do this?

    I purchased this item to help keep my laptop cool and to raise it up higher on my desk. This item does both. It was inexpensive and easy to set up.

    I've had 2 or 3 of these cooling pads...they seem to wear out within 6-9 months, or the fan starts making whining noises which can be annoying. The prices is less expensive so it's not a big loss. They are better for occasional use than for constant office use.

    Great, simple product. It does use the battery from the laptop and drains it quickly, but if it is plugged in there are no issues.
