The unit is a good size for net books and keeps our Toshiba cool but the fan noise is too high if you are in a quite room.

Garbage, Funky shape. Makes power cord for laptop pull out. Does not cool well.

The fan works great. It is a little small for my laptop.

A bit bulky for my use, but it does the job fairly.

I had this item for about a month and one day I turned it on and the fan made a terrible racket. Now, almost every time I turn it on, I have to tap it on the desk to make it stop making the noise. I didn't do anything to it when I set it up except put it on my desk, plug it in and put my laptop on it. I had one of these cooling pads for several years and had no problem with it until I took it on a trip and it got damaged in my luggage. So, when I immediately had problems with this new one, I was very disappointed.

Light, quiet inexpensive. Great for a laptop 14" or under, USB powered so very portable. I just pick it up with my Ultrabook on top and hardly notice it's there. Could use better traction on both top and bottom for use in a slanted position but easily remedied with stick-on grip buttons.

Like many cheap cooling pads the fan went out out fast. Spend the extra 20 bucks save yourself the trouble and get one of the better ones.

this fan is junk , would like my money back had it only a few weeks and it just stopped working

the fan didnt cool my laptop that good and it stoped working about a month after I bought it.

Overall, like the product as it's quiet and keeps my laptop cool when I'm relaxing at home. It's a bit large but light weight. I haven't had it too long and hope it lasts but so far it's excellent.

Bought this for my daughter's and broke on first day. Returned to the site for a refund!

Not sure how others use theirs or what their expectations were from the start, but anything with a fan is going to make noise, no matter how good it is. No fan is silent. I do believe this fan is quiet enough to not be a nuisance to others around me, nor does it bother me. It does an excellent job keeping my work laptop cool, which after 8 hours of being on was ridiculously hot on the bottom. Even the top where my palms rest was almost uncomfortably warm. I've had this cooling pad for close to a month now, still quiet, still cooling, still worth the investment. I plan on getting two more for my personal laptops as well.

I have had one of these for over a year and I left it plugged into my laptop and the cord was twisted for so long that the wires were exposed. My fault. Keeps my laptop cool. Just have to remember to blow out the dust occasionally. This is my 2nd one and can't beat the price for this item.

The reason I say this is a good fan is because of what is is designed to do, cool. It has a great design in that it is bowled to have great ventilation and the fan has good output. I primarily use my laptop for gaming which is why i bought the fan, to help keep my CPU tempt low. The air output and design is even better than the Targus - Laptop Chill Mat ($40), which i bought for my wife because she uses laptops for internet searches so it is on her lap. i tried to use her fan for gaming and my laptop after an hour of play my laptop became very hot even so much as to lag. I didn't give the product 5 stars is because of its cheap build it did have minor issues like random fan stopping, but in my case i just push the fan and it starts again. I have had my fan for over 8 months and it is still running strong.
