even though daughter has IPAD using computer for many other items for college , this help lots

I had the previous model and the back "legs" folded up for transport. They eventually broke and I bought this one and the back supports are solid and do not fold. Everything else looks the same and the last one I had lasted for 3+ years so hopefully this one does too!

I bought this cooling pad to cool my laptop because I would play games and stream video that would make my computer really hot. I use it daily and it is on all the time that my computer is on. I have had it about 6-8 months and it already sounds as if the bearing is wearing out. I turn on my computer and the cooling pad "growls" and there are times that the fan part won't even turn. If you are needing a cooling pad that has endurance I would suggest a different one than this one. For simple/minimal tasks it works great but not so much for the long haul. I would only recommend this to a friend who won't need to run it all the time.

Its better then having no fan cooler at all. It works like its suppose to.

I bought this particular cooling platform for the center mounted fan, as that's where the vent holes are on my laptop. The air being forced into the vent was just what I needed to solve an overheating issue. Very pleased with this purchase.

i have a toshiba that runs absurdly hot with extended use so i bought this to extend the life... it works great and has helped drop the temperature 20+ degrees most of the time! and its fairly compact, the only thing i wish it had another usb port built in since it takes up one of my 3 ports

My previous pad had two fans, had a flat base and did not cool as well as this pad with only one fan. I attribute this to the well engineered curved base. Plus it has a built-in rubberized wrist pad and fits my 10" netbook perfectly. A great product...I recommend it highly!!!

I had a laptop that over heated and I didn't want to take that chance again. This cooling pad plugs in easily into the computer and does the job.

If you just need a simple cooling device this is the way to go. I've had no issues with my cooling pad

My fan for my netbook quit working. It would overheat within 10 or 15 minutes of use. With this cooling pad I have had 0 problems with overheating. I almost purchased the $30 pad. Glad I didn't. This thing works great!

As a mid-priced cooling pad it works, it keeps my laptop cool. However, I've had several cooling pads over the years from really cheap on Ebay from China to a $40 one and this is the noisiest one I've ever had. It's kind of loud anyway, but when I am typing and putting pressure on the laptop and subsequently on the cooling pad, it is even noisier.

It dose an adequate job of keeping the laptop cooler with the one fan, but I found the fan very noisy. Based upon its performance and shortcomings I think it is a but pricy at near $30.

Very good airflow but too loud. I returned it. Good choice if laptop is running hot.

I've purchased 2 of these cooling stands. The first one just quit after a month of use. I exchanged it, and the second one lasted about 6 months before a fan blade got jammed up in the grate. I popped it off, and it worked for a little bit longer. Then a second blade got jammed, and now the fan will not run. No more cheap cooling stands, I'll be purchasing a better unit today.

I have been through a few cooling pads. This one out of the box seemed cheaply made. USB plug was very flimsy. Worked great for a day then started vibrating until it finally stopped working on the second day. I should have just spent the extra money for one that will last. These things will probably extend the life of the laptop a fair amount so an extra 30 bucks would be worth it for a nicer one. I ended up paying more in gas money and dealing with the headache from having to fight through traffic to return this one.

The laptop I bought this for gets so much hotter than my other laptops. I was also looking for something that would tilt my laptop to making typing easier. The first time I used the product, I kept having to readjust the laptop hoping to find a good position for it to actually cool it off. The second day I used it, it started making a lot of noise. By keeping my laptop slightly elevated off the desk (using a small box to prop it up), I get more cooling than this product provides. And this does not tilt at all like I had hoped.

I guess you get what you pay for, maybe a little less. Product not quiet and has only setting on. Ok, two . . . off, too. To top it off, it has a short cord.

Stopped working after about eight months. Bestbuy will not replace and handle the warranty work as many other stores do. Customer service representatives do not know how to talk to customers. Belkin requires you to front the cost of shipping to them rather than shouldering the cost related to returning and replacing an inferior product.
