I wanted a longer cable for more freedom to use my IPad Pro as it charges. While this cable is only about a foot longer than the original, it actually helps. The lightening end easily fit in my tablet even with the protective case on. It seems much better than the original cable because of the heavy braiding, instead of plastic. The charge was fast. The cute leather wrap makes it easy to store. I like my new charger and time will tell if it will hold up better than the original.

Reviewing the cable for what it does, it does very well. Great build quality, good length and the ends are built to take abuse to avoid failing. All this give the cable a solid 5 stars but I must take a star off for the cost. Too many other options on the market that are as durable at half the cost. I would buy again but at half the price.

I chose these to test because let's face it, who cannot use an extra charging cable. However, upon opening the box it immediately became my daily driver. It is built very well, connects and charges perfect, and even has a convenient cable tie. Highly recommend!

this belkin duratek lightning cable is made of premium materials and feels very strong and durable. the braided cable looks and feels very nice and should resist wear and tear better than the plastic most cables use. the leather buckle is a nice classy touch and keeps your cable wrapped up and tangle free. Charging and data transfer worked as it should, no issues with compatibility with any of the apple products I've used it with.

Ok I've now gotten the 6' & 4' Belkin DuraTek Plus cables for the iPhone (black & white). Only had the first one fro 2 weeks when I realized how good it was and got another. It does not kink up and it seems so much stronger than an Apple cable. Having both lenghts is really nice. And with my 2.1A fast charger this cable does charge faster the the std Apple lightning cable (~20%). In my car I have Car Play, which requires my phone to be connected/disconnected whenever I get in/out of the car. I've had 2 other cables (one a the original Apple cable). The Apple cable cracked in the middle and exposed wires in under a year, it might have been kicked or tangled by a passanger, I plead innocent in it's abuse, but it didn't last, and it's damage concerned me. The Belkin DuraTek Plus cable has much stronger anchors at each base/end of the cable and the cable is much thicker (see picture). Instead if a plastic cable cover the Belkin cable has a woven fabric which bends less easily, but slides more smoothly. The difference in cable quality it noticable. And the list price of Belkin's DuraTek Plus matches the Apple's Lightning cable of the same length. With a 5 year warranty, and a convenient cable strap, the decision is easy. On Apple's web site their Apple branded cables get 2 stars. If you going to spend the money on a good cable, get a great cable from Belkin, it's Apple certified, and it will last.

This product is great I think I like over the original Apple cord. It’s sturdy and had a little weight to it.
