It is very heavy and awkward when it is plugged into the phone.

For anyone who has an iPhone 7 or 7+ this is a must have. It is built with quality and looks like it's made by Apple. It works great and allows for you to charge and use lighting headphones at the same time. The only downfall is thag it's two lightning portable instead of charger and 3.5mm. This means that if you want to plug in regular headphones you'll need to use the adapter that came with your iPhone. Either way it is still an awesome gadget and works well.

Would not charge anymore... within a week it stopped working

Works perfectly! Both ports charge and play headphones perfectly. The sound is working with the headphone perfectly. The only drawback for some may be that it is a little bulky, but that seems to me that it's sturdy. I'm a big fan of Belkin products overall and they are typically less expensive than Apple store products with same, and sometime BETTER quality. It's about 4 weeks I'm using this now, so....so far so good!

I was totally OK with Apple's removal of the 3.5mm audio jack as this makes for better water resistance and less points of failure on the product. Bluetooth/A2DP audio is pretty good now too but for professional applications (or those audiophiles out there that are professional listeners, you still need at least a wired Lightning option. This Adapter/splitter was smaller than it seemed in packaging and has excellent tensile strength while maintaining flexibility at the cord. The allowed plug scenarios are clear on the getting started sheet included and getting up and running took seconds. Only two minor gripes that don't affect the rating: - The splitter should be able to work to drive two headphones via lightning but instead only works for one headphone, one power cord in either jack. There is no competing solution today but it is worth noting that there are use cases for a splitter as well and that would further justify the cost and bag space. - There should be a version of this that offers old school analog 3.5mm and a lightning charge pass-through. That would be a useful Adapter as well until more Lightning-based high end headphones are available. Adapters on adapters just isn't cutting it. Otherwise it's fit for purpose and works well

The Belkin Lightning Audio/Charge component is great! Now I don't have to choose between charing my IOS device and listening to my headphones. The attachment is very simple to use and is very durable. I would recommend to anyone with a device that uses a lightning port.

It was what I was looking for and worked well initially. Than just quit performing after four months.

This unbiased review was given in exchange for freely receiving this device. In reality, there's not much to review about the device except that it does work as advertised. For those who have situations where they need to simultaneously recharge an iOS device with no standard audio jack and listen to audio, this Belkin device will do it. On the very basic instructions included, it does show that you shouldn't plug two lightning power adapters in simultaneously, nor two audio lightning adapters. I'm not sure how the internal circuitry would have handled these configurations, and I like my iPhone 7 Plus too much to try, so I have nothing to say about that :) Regardless, this is a good, solid device for your dual power/audio needs.

This is the perfect accessory for my audio jackless iPhone 7+. I am a big fan of Bluetooth headphones and that is generally my preference for listening to music/movies on my iPhone, but there are times when the batteries are dead and I am forced to use corded headphones. This adapter solves the problem of charge vs. use. I like that both inputs work for either charging or listening. You don't have to worry about inserting your lightning cable into the wrong slot. The only thing I will mention is that this adapter cannot be used for syncing your iPhone to your laptop. Not a big deal for me or a deal breaker, but something I thought needed to be mentioned. All in all, I like this adapter and would recommend it.

This dongle is such a no brainer, I'm curious as to why Apple didn't include it in the box with the iPhones 7. Regardless, Belkin has created a much needed product that is so simple to use, that there really is no written instructions - just a picture card that shows you what you can and can't do. Can't get any simpler than that. And, the product does exactly what it is supposed to do - let you charge and listen to lightning audio simultaneously. There's not much else to say about this product except that it fulfills a much needed void in Apple's dongle-filled world these days. If you haven't made the switch to wireless (ie, Bluetooth) headphones, then you need this.

The Audio + Charge Rockstar is a pretty good solution for a problem created by a certain fruit company when it removed the headphone jack--the inability to simultaneously charge your device and listen to music (unless, of course, you switch to Bluetooth headphones). With that said, this little dongle fills the gap and reinstates what was once a ubiquitous function of the device. It works flawlessly for the advertised purpose which is simply to permit simultaneous charging and audio listening through the Lightning port. Note that this adapter does not have the inability to pass-through data/sync, attach other adapters, etc. However, if you read the description, it is clear that none of these actions are supported by design. This is an audio-only dongle which lets you recharge your device. Period. If you want or need more, look elsewhere. But for what this product is intended to do, it just works. The length of the dongle is not too bad for "pocketability" although it does seem a bit larger than it could be if refined a little in future iterations. (Size is the only reason I knocked my rating down a star.) The male end does seem slightly more bulbous than on other cables/adapters I have so clearance might be a bit of an issue if your case doesn't have much clearance around the port. It works fine with my Otterbox Commuter. One last thing, make sure you are running iOS 10.x or you may run into some issues with recognition of the dongle.

The Lightning Audio+Charge Rockstar works fine and Belkin did a great job on build quality. It splits one lightning port into 2 lightning ports and it is necessary because Apple decided to remove the traditional 3.5 mm headphone jack on my new iPhone 7 Plus. I used to listen to my music with my Beats Pro and also be able to charge my iPhone 6 at the same time, but Apple's innovative idea took it away from me. Now, I am able to do what I like with this little helper. However, it doesn't allow me to use it for anything else but listening and charging. I thought I can split the audio into 2, so I can use 2 headphones with my friend at the same time, but no it won't. I tried it and failed. So, it was a little disappointment. Also, it is kind of troublesome to carry this helper around. I know I will use it mainly at home, but sometimes I use a portable battery to charge my phone on the go and listen to my music. I think it is going be dangling around and it is going to get lost somewhere like a puzzle piece from a puzzle box. It serves its purpose and it solve a problem that Apple created. We can all simply go with Bluetooth headphones from now on and forget about the better sounds that wired headphones can provide. But for me, I will mainly use it at home and use it daily for its good purpose until wireless headphones can offer the same level of sounds.

This is a must for any iPhone 7 user. It's great for those times you are listening to music, watching YouTube or catching up on a pod cast and with your headphones. Then you notice that you are running dangerously low on battery power. This item allows you to charge your iPhone and listen to your media with your earbuds simultaneously. I would definitely recommend this item.

I think this is a great device, especially for people that still have wired headphones or earphones and need to charge their iPhone while listening to music or watching videos etc... it works exactly as it should, my only minor complaint is that the cable need not be as long as it is. For those of us that need a second port on our iPhones, don't hesitate to buy it.
