It worked great...for a little less than 4 months. Now my phone charges only intermittently through the adapter, and the buttons on my earbuds no longer work when connected through the adapter. Note that both the charger and the earbuds work fine when plugged directly into the phone. The adapter has not been subject to abusive use. I charge my phone nightly through the adapter, where it sits on the table next to my bed. I'm very disappointed in the short lifetime of this adapter.

The only thing that I frown upon is the cable gets a turtle neck like the iphone chargers and then renders completely useless

The charging never stops but it doesn't pick up that I have headphones in. Very useful, but needs to be tougher. If they would glued the wires where they are soldered.

It doesn’t happen all the time, but it does happen. The lightening charge cord I have is not an Apple product but the headphones are. Not sure if this has anything to do with it but just thought I would give as much info as possible.
