While it fastens really well to my vent, the phone holder arm doesn’t keep phone sturdy. I don’t have a case for my phone and ever so often, I’m having to raise my phone leveled to be able to see it.

This shouldn't be the case. The car vent mount is designed to work with the vehicle's vent slats of up to 3 mm in thickness and up to 20 mm in depth. It works best with straight, horizontal ven slats, but it will slightly move with vertical slats. Moreover, we want to know more about what happened. The vent mount works best with straight, horizontal vent slats, but can also work with vertical vent slats. When using with a vertical vent slat the mount may move slightly if the mount is overloaded with weight. It doesn't clamp on the vent well enough and it falls right off. The magnet is strong enough that it pulled it off the vent nearly every time I removed my phone. No idea how this even passed QA

Doesn’t charge and doesn’t hold the phone that well. There is a newer better Brody that that has the MagSafe with charger on Amazon by iotti or whatever the company is. Amazing same price range and charges.
