It fell off the vent in the first 30 minutes of Interstate travel. I followed the instructions on how to properly utilize the vent as it's not rocket science how it attaches. The magnet was strong enough, but since the mount bounces around from the shear weight of the phone (I just got the Iphone 13 PRO) as your driving, it was just a matter of time it fell off. Really disappointing considering it was $45. Returning it and now looking at an ESR mount. Don't waste your money on this one.

I had to hold my phone to the magnet to make sure it didn’t fall off. This was very upsetting when I was in Kansas City last week in very unfamiliar territory trying to use my GPS. I was very disappointed.

DOES NOT WORK WITH VERTICAL VENTS!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Disappointed as the packaging / description does not warn you that you cannot use this product with vertical (tall) vents. The clip has to mount exactly as it shows in the picture, which you wouldn't realize as it clearly can rotate/spin. The mount will obviously go on your vertical vent, but when any weight goes on to it, the mount and phone immediately fall off - there is no way to apply additional pressure and "Clamp down" on the vent. My Nissan Frontier, GMC Sierra Denali, Infiniti G37 all have vertical vents.

Magnet was fairly strong when I first bought it. I put it in the closet for the last six months and just brought it out and the magnet won't stay on my phone at all. Now it's in the trash. I will never buy a phone with magnets on it ever again.

Broke after 6 months

We hear you. The Belkin WIC002 is designed to work with vehicle's vent slats of up to 3 mm in thickness and of up to 20 mm in depth. The vent mount works best with straight, horizontal vent slats, but can also work with vertical vent slats. Also, when using with a vertical vent slat the mount may move slightly if the mount is overloaded with weight. And, intended for use with MagSafe phones (iPhones 12, 13 and 14 models) with or without an official MagSafe phone case.
