Good camera, bad app

Easy to setup and use

Do not buy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this camera to keep an eye on my house since I was going out of town and nobody was going to be at home. It looked like a great deal but when I tried to set up an account with Belkin it all went wrong. I was able to set up an account with Belkin, but in the installation part with the app that I downloaded to my phone the account information was not recognized. This product had me stressed out and to make matters worse the picture quality is bad. I would not recommend.

This camera captures images with a delay.

Disappointed in viewing

I was very disappointed.

I wanted to be able to watch one particular room in my house while I was out of the country but every time I went to watch it remotely it had shut itself down and I'd have to reset it. When it did function I was pleased with the quality.

Very hard to use

Poor camera

Great when it works...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The camera itself is good, but the app is flaky. Some days, I can't get the camera to connect at all. Other times, I can get it on my laptop, but not on my phone. Today, I can't connect with either one. Customer support is so-so. The two times I've contacted support, I've given up and just waited a day and then magically the app works again.

PC not needed, but smart phone required

I've searched through google for a solution to setup this camera without the use of a phone, but have come up with no results after page upon page of hits.. It seems that there may not be a solution as Belkin uses their own app from Apple store or Google Play to setup the cameras. Unfortunately, if you want to use it stand alone without having to use a phone to setup the camera, this may not be the option for you...

They keep timing out
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought several of these cameras and distributed them throughout the house. At first they were great, especially monitoring our baby. Now? they keep timing out after 5 minutes or less. Its very frustrating while relaxing after putting a baby to sleep to constantly have to reconnect. They also use this service by "seedonk". Seems very often that the service goes down once or twice a month, for 3-4 hours. Upon logging in the app(with username/password set to be remembered) it says that my credentials are wrong...But then 3-4 hours later it works again. I bought them for peace of mind and they have turned out to be more of a frustration than anything else. Save your money and research into another service like Netgear or Dropcam. Currently packing them ALL, and will returning them, as well as researching for a better alternative.
