    I'm a computer engineer. When I got this camera, I noticed that I could not set it up from my PC - you must use an iOS or Android device to set it up. However, I noticed that Belkin is not the original manufactor - seedonk (www.seedonk.com) is - Belkin just rebranded it. I was able to get into the camera because the original firmware left a telnet server running. I was able to find a page on the camera that would allow me to use the camera myself directly without having to sign up on seedonk's website. I installed an update, and now I can't even access the camera directly. I'm not a fan of products that require me to create an account.. What if seedonk's website gets compromised? I don't like the idea of hackers being able to see my video stream. I doubly don't like the fact I have to use android/ios or login through seedonk's site to use the camera. I resetted it and now I cant access anything (the update removed both the web access and telnet access) - and am forced to use my ipad/phone to access it again. Even if I block my camera's access to seedonk, that also blocks me from using it. Which really sucks, because I liked everything else about the camera. Definitely returning it as soon as I can. If you care about your privacy, want full control over the camera without having to use an online service, don't get this one.

    This camera works great, has night vision, can take pictures and videos. The quality was high enough that i honestly thought i purchased the HD version of the camera. I love this thing. It's really small and discrete so it can be hidden in common areas and no one (the nanny) will even know it's there. It was insanely easy to setup, and the power cable is really long.

    The quality and workmanship seems very strong. You can pivot the unit around to just about any angle you will need. The mount is sturdy as well. The microphone works very well, sensitive enough to pick up very quiet sounds. The video is smooth and has great color. You can adjust the quality to match your router/network speed, and it works great in the house when I am on my home network, or while away on the cell network without changing any settings!

    I bought this primarily to monitor my kids when they get home from school. I love that I get email notifications when movements occur. I just wish that the picture quality was better. There's also a bit of a delay and oftentimes the images sent do not have the actual movement. Its not very quick to take the snapshot.

    Could not be happier!

    I bought this camera to be able to check in on my pug while I'm at work. It took me literally three minutes to set it up out of the box. I am so thrilled. I can watch her on my iPhone, take video, snap photos. The night vision works great too. I haven't "shared" it with anyone yet, but I love that I have the option to do so. For the price, it can't be beat. Great job, Belkin!

    took a bit to figure out the app setup, but there are lots of how to videos on youtube and i got it working no problem. it takes snapshot pictures which come in amazingly clear, and adjusts from night vision to day time vision automatically depending on available light in the room. excellent device! used a nexus tablet btw, older one worked fine

    Did not work the way I hoped it wold

    I purchased this camera to monitor my driveway and front door for security reasons. I set the camera up in a window that can oversee both areas I wanted to monitor. Unfortunately, the motion detector will pick up motion that is about 50' away from cars in the street that are passing by, but will not activate when someone pulls in my driveway or walks up to my front door! I have tried several different angles, heights with the camera and adjusted the sensitivity settings on the motion sensor and none of them will work. I have gone as far as connecting remotely to the live stream through my tablet and walked outside in front of the camera. I can see myself on the live stream, but no matter what motion setting I use, it will not trigger motion until I walk 50-60' away to the end of my driveway and into the street. The camera is a fixed lenses and does not offer any type of focus so you can not adjust the focal point or narrow the field of view down. Because this will not perform the way I need it to, I will be returning it to BestBuy for a refund.

    This isn't a top of the line camera that give crisp high def images. Images are a little grainy, but looks great when in high sun light.

    This is functional and that's it.. The picture is grainy, the user interface on the pc and phone are both very cheap. I didn't even try to use the sound because I wasn't confident it would work smoothly. It emailed me a couple pictures when I first used it which was cool ..and then stopped, even though i disabled and enabled the option numerous times (to try to get it working again). No luck. I'm returning this asap. This cam should be priced at around $50 or less. $100 for this product is belligerently overpriced for its quality. Also... I've always liked Belkin which is why I had confidence in purchasing this. Turns out Belkin teamed up with seedonk.com, who I have never heard of. I think the quality problem lies with Seedonk...just my opinion.

    Setup in minutes, downloaded app & off I went. Using a galaxy s2. You can setup motion detection with how sensitive you want it to be tripped and it emails the image to you quickly. Check live feed & choose to take a snapshot or a video. Saves directly to phone. Wifi and direct ethernet is great. Night vision is also pretty clear.

    I have 6 Netcams and They all have worked perfect. Very easy to use and the App works great!!!! and you can have a ton of cams with no fees like some of the others charge!!!

    Never Loads Properly

    I bought this a while back and belkin has had several updated and none of them have helped. I have to constantly unplug the camera and let it refresh before I can hop on my ipad or iphone to view it. After a few days, when I try to open the app, i just get the loading screen after I select the camera I wish to view. This is not a good product. You will never be able to see anything on the camera because it will never load for you.

      Hi John,

      We regret to hear about your NetCam. It's possible that the NetCam does not have a stable connection with the router. Place a phone or any wireless device next to the NetCam and check how many bars of signal will the device get from the router. Observe the stability of the connection too. We need to get at least 3 bars of signal from the wireless network for the NetCam to work properly. Changing the router's wireless channel could be of help. Adjust the channel to 6, 9, 11, or 1. Then reset and reconfigure the NetCam and install a freshly-downloaded NetCam app.

    If you want a product that works via a website for a computer or on wi-fi with a smart phone, this product is for you. If you expect it to work on the smart phone while on the cell network, this is not the product for you. I could not get it work while away from my home wi-fi router, so I called Belkin. This product is not designed to work on the cell network. Buy something else.

    The setup process was going along smooth until it wanted me to only be able to set up in the WEP security mode with my router. I was not about to change the security settings on my network to accommodate this one devise. Therefore I returned the product.

    This product is an EPIC FAIL. TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT. Both the product and App is a junk.
