It does accommodate thicker cases but connecting the phone takes a bit of finesse. The watch charger is perfect.

The Belkin F8J237 comes with a built-in VersaCase Lightning connector that allows you to adjust the lightning connector base on the thickness of your case. The orientation of the wireless charger for your Apple Watch places the watch in alarm clock mode for easier viewing from your bed. I've had the charger for one month now and no problems. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
