The problem is that I, personally, do not believe that this item should carry a $40 asking price. An FM modulator would have probably been cheaper. All I was hoping to get was the ability to play and charge at the same time. There are less expensive means to achieve this out there. All in all, it feels like a quality made product. The Best Buy points offset what I actually paid, but I still could have used those on something more frivolous.

I haven’t been given over to Bluetooth yet and was so frustrated with my new iPhone because they got rid of the headphone jack. With this handy adaptor, I can charge my phone and use my headphones at the same time! I love it! The sound is great and I haven’t had any problems with it. I bought 2 so I could use one in my car to connect my phone to the radio with an auxiliary cable (I know, I’m in the dark ages!) and charge it at the same time. I don’t leave home without this handy accessory!

This replaces one that I used for over 5 years. These type of splitters can often be flaky and degrade over time, but the Belkin one is the best, and for those without Bluetooth or CarPlay you can't beat the price or the amount of time you'll use it. Just be careful flexing it too much and you'll get many years usage.

I hate commercials and quickly tire of the same 40 songs so I always use my phone to stream music. Being able to play music and charge my phone simultaneously is a frequent need so I have been using one of these for a few years now. This is the second one of these I have bought. The first one finally started to lose the passenger side sounds after about 3 years of near-daily use. Hope this one lasts me at least 3 more years as well.
