This works 'somewhat'. The charging capability doesn't work well - it keeps my phone charged up enough to use. However, when I'm not using my iPhone this charger does not charge my phone like a regular charger does. This is an 'emergency use' only adaptor.

This lets connect your Apple product to the auxiliary Jack and charge it at the same time. Great idea ! Wish I found this sooner.
