Belkin has been a brand I have trusted for years and decided to give them a try with this adapter. It is needed if you're using your phone for music and GPS in your and your phone battery dies and you still want the audio to through your speakers. This adapter does just that, allows your phone to charge and still send the audio out, however like I said earlier it stopped working for a year. so if you don't mind spending $40 until you upgrade to a Bluetooth head unit in your car, this is for you.

It seems that the design team failed to test this product before setting it out for production and sales. The biggest issue with this adapter is the weight of the actual adapter which tugs on the pigtail lightning adapter that plugs into the phone and constantly falls out due to the weight. A proper design would eliminate the pigtail and have a the lightning port at the adapter so it sits flush with the phone and little chance of being tugged and pulled out constantly. It’s so irritating and frustrating being disconnected from calls and searching for the adapter to plug back in while driving or just moving around. I’m extremely disappointed with this product and it’s poor design as well as the price. I’d give this a minus rating if that were possible. Sorry Belkin this is one of your worse products.
