Simple. Works. Excellent sound. Compact. And allows me to power the phone while on trips in the car while listening to podcasts and music through the ancient sound system in my year 2000 car.

I love Belkin products and have been pleased with all my purchases of this brand except this adapter. It seems that the design team failed to test this product before setting it out for production and sales. The biggest issue with this adapter is the weight of the actual adapter which tugs on the pigtail lightning adapter that plugs into the phone and constantly falls out due to the weight. A proper design would eliminate the pigtail and have a the lightning port at the adapter so it sits flush with the phone and little chance of being tugged and pulled out constantly. It’s so irritating and frustrating being disconnected from calls and searching for the adapter to plug back in while driving or just moving around. I’m extremely disappointed with this product and it’s poor design as well as the price. I’d give this a minus rating if that were possible. Sorry Belkin this is one of your worse products.

Works great to charge while using your phone for directions if you own a car that doesn’t have car play. Now on road trips I don’t have to worry about the battery life.

My adapter broke again. And I'm pretty careful with this since it is so expensive and I know how fragile they are. I know not to bend it (the marketing photo of it bending is a complete joke). I'm very careful. I have one for my travel kit, one at home and one at our vacation home. I do use this jack a lot. Pretty much every night with bose headphones. It's necessary, but I can't believe how often it breaks. Now that I think about it, this might be purchase number 6. (Maybe I will see if I can get one covered by the Apple store on warranty. I will have to check my most recent purchase.) After about 10-12 months, your headphones will no longer work with it. They will work with other adapters so you can be sure that the problem is this jack and not the headphones. Now that you know, you can plan and budget for it. I don't know of any alternatives. If you really depend on it, you might just want to buy a back-up now.

I needed an audio cable splitter, and I went to Best Buy, and they had the product. Quick, Fast. Accessible at a reasonable price.

I’ve purchased this Belkin adapter so I can charge my IPhone and listen to Pandora while driving through the “Aux” port on my car stereo. It worked for a couple of months. Then, it wouldn’t work anymore. That is, it’s still charging my phone. However, the music I listen to in the car or through my headphones does NOT work at all instead the music bypasses this device and plays through the phone speakers. I would not recommend this product to anyone as it is unreliable.

When I first got this it worked great and I was happy. Not too excited of the price but it worked well and made my life easier with my iPhone 7 Plus. But just 2 weeks ago it stopped working I can’t listen to my music at all.

The product does exactly what you expect it to do: plays audio through the 3.5 mm and charges through the lightning port. When they are plugged in simultaneously, you will hear some audio feedback (a faint squeal), however the sound is only heard if there is no audio playing.

It does what it needs to do, but I feel like it wears down and breaks pretty fast.

Must have accessory! I own 3. Always pack one for travel and really use them

Bought this because I thought spending a little extra money would beat buying the cheaper ones, but I was wrong and got only got about 2 weeks of good use with this product. Now it works the way it should when it wants. Sometimes the music will play through headphones but it won’t charge while both plugged in at the same time; vice-versa. Sometimes it works the way it should, but more often it’s one or the other. I do own bluetooth headphones such as air pods but this was a convient accessory while it lasted, very disappointed.

Started out like a champ, but I use headphones a lot. Couple weeks later, chord within must be micro-thin because it cause my iPhone 12 to say “ACCESSORY NOT SUPPORTED” cutting out with the iOS error message constantly.yay Not worth the head ache…. I’ve seen similar comments should have read further

I bought 2 of these. Great solution but both of them failed in only 3 months. One has a headphone jack failure and the other has a charge adapter failure. So this thing costs about $12 a month to use.

My son likes to charge his phone while listening to his headphones. We had to upgrade him to an iPhone 7 and promised him an adapter so he could still function how he did with iPhone 6s. Well. It worked for a glorious 15 mins into our 60 min car ride. He was not happy. The Belkin adapter stopped working and was super hot. So we are returning it.
