Functionally, it does exactly what it needs to: charges the phone while playing audio. However, in the car, it causes a slight hum/ringing that seems to be consistent with the RPMs of the engine. Not sure why. Listening to music, it's not obvious. But when listening to a podcast, it's slightly annoying.

Connects the audio fine and no issues. A little larger than i would like.

I am so pleased with this purchase. It is perfect for me to listen to music and keep my phone alive, which was definitely an issue for me before. The adapter works seamlessly and I would definitely recommend to anyone who prefers wired headphones (and likes their phone to be fully juiced whilst listening to music!)

I had previously bought a cheaper, knockoff of this and it worked fine but after using it for an hour it did NOT charge my phone and the music was terrible. That made me go for this one and man oh man I should've just bought this one in the first place! It is amazing! it works perfectly. I really like this product.

for someone who works as a sound engineer both in school and for the public, it's important to have all the adapters you need for various situations....these adapters are perfect...quality craftsmanship and a great price.

Does the job of charging and listening to my music !!!!!

I, like most iPhone users, hated the loss of the headphone jack. Especially frustrating was realizing you couldn’t charge and listen simultaneously. Resenting the expense I opted to go generic. Bad move. Two ports but I could still only charge or I could listen. The Belkin does both and very well. Happy.

This adapter does exactly as the description describes. I’m able to listen to music with wired headphones and charge my iPhone 8 Plus all at the same time. Gave 4 stars only because the cord is very stiff so it makes it hard to hold the iPhone when traveling. I would’ve liked the cord to be similar in flexibility to the Apple Lightning Headphone Jack adapter.

This dongle works good. Allows the phone to charge while also providing a headphone jack. Ya know, like how most modern day phones do WITHOUT a dongle. But it’s Apple so what are ya gonna do? I use mine to charge while plugged into a sound mixer for sound effects on my podcast and for that it’s really the only thing that works with this darn iPhone 7.

I really love the aux piece .I enjoy being able to drive and talk on the phone it now holding my Phone i think everyone should get one.

This item work amazing. Especially if you have an plder car like I do. I can listen to my music, use maps without my phone dying.

Bought this for my son to use on the airplane. He wanted to watch a movie on his ipad with his new headphones but the connection wasn't right. We bought this in a Best Buy vending machine at the airport and it works great!

This product is an absolute necessity for anyone using an iPhone in the car since there is no longer an aux connection that is separate from the charging port. This device does that. The issue with this device is that the weight of the cables connected to it puts a strain on the cable coming from the device when using the phone in landscape mode. This results in the device eventually losing the ability to convey either the charging or aux (sometimes both) to the phone. Because of that, this is my sixth time purchasing one of these. Every 6-10 months I have to replace it. That said it is the best one on the market. There are others that the phone will not recognize or the sound quality is horrible. This one does a great job. It is a 5 star product with just one big flaw.

Apple! Why?!? This adapter puts the phone back the way it was always supposed to be! I can now connect my earphones/external speaker and power at the same time. What a concept! You listening Apple? Only drawback is the big bulky size, but so worth the extra to have the phone working properly again.
