The cord became split at the strain relief on the 3.5 mm jack side as noted by other users. Got 2 years out of it before I had to buy another. With the lack of choices expect to buy another. However, since there really isn't any competition I cannot hold this minor defect against it by much.

I tried twice to get a bargain price elsewhere, and eventually came back to Best Buy which is where I should have started. This is the only one that met all my criteria, and one of the others had noise bleeding into the cord, presumably from improperly shielding the power cord. Save yourself some time and aggravation and go with this Belkin product from Best Buy.
