It allows me to sit quietly at my desk, put my earphones in while charging my phone. I have an auxiliary input that I have to run my iPhone 8 thru . Until I got this when the battery got low I had to unplug the auxiliary and hook it up to the power outlet but with this I can do both at the same time and my phone is charged when ever I get where I am going!!!!
