It's a necessary adapter to have if your only way to connect your iPhone to your car (or home) audio is via an AUX port, because at some point, your iPhone's battery will need to be re-charged. I wish it was cheaper; there are other (cheaper) alternatives by no-name manufacturers, but I wanted to go with a trusted brand for this capability like Belkin. It works well, it's useful, and it's solidly made.

I've had no problems with this product, and I can hear very clearly. It does not overheat, and has been reliable so far. Very worth the purchase.

The only bad thing is that I have to unplug the headphone jack if I want to make a call. But I'm very satisfied with it.

I haven’t been given over to Bluetooth yet and was so frustrated with my new iPhone because they got rid of the headphone jack. With this handy adaptor, I can charge my phone and use my headphones at the same time! I love it! The sound is great and I haven’t had any problems with it. I bought 2 so I could use one in my car to connect my phone to the radio with an auxiliary cable (I know, I’m in the dark ages!) and charge it at the same time. I don’t leave home without this handy accessory!

The problem is that I, personally, do not believe that this item should carry a $40 asking price. An FM modulator would have probably been cheaper. All I was hoping to get was the ability to play and charge at the same time. There are less expensive means to achieve this out there. All in all, it feels like a quality made product. The Best Buy points offset what I actually paid, but I still could have used those on something more frivolous.
