When I plugged in the Belkin Docking Station the computer prompted me with an error. I tried updating drivers and rebooting my computer and was never able to get the Belkin Docking Station to work. Returned this and purchased the Dell branded Docking Station which has worked great since. Had always had good success with Belkin products before this, not sure if I just received a defective unit.

Consider another unit for IMac

The thunderbolt cable is ridiculously short. It barely reaches a desk or tabletop surface when plugged into an IMac, which requires multiple dongles to connect everything I need. 2. It is pricey compared to other similar units. This may work really well for laptops, but do not get this unit for an Imac.

I am using this with my MacBook Pro, and its been an issue since I bought.. Processing speed shoots up, USB wireless keyboard response is a delay, and the internet via ethernet port is super bad. Maybe this particular product is bad... So I ended up call Belkin support, and they responded right away.. I am still working with them. I do not know what they will do but it has been no fun since I bought..Giving 1 start just for the customer service...

Steer clear of ALL Belkin products unless you want to experience aggravation and frustration. This product was dead within a month. Customer service??? As if. Still waiting for a refund or a replacement. It's been more than 2 months. Do yourself a favor and buy anything else. No option to submit negtive start ratings.
