It get extremely hot when used for more than about an hour at a time. If you need a good dock for multiple monitors to use on your desk full time, look elsewhere.

And the less expensive one works just fine. Returned my Thunderbolt, but feel I should purchase it later on, just for the simple fact that it is a Thunderbolt, and I use Thunderbolt.

One for our lower thirds (for our video stream) and the other for full screen projection in our audience. it only takes up one (1) USB C port and does not need external power!

Here's the series of events: 1. It gets alarmingly hot after 20 minutes. 2. Then my monitor randomly to blinks occasionally. 3. Finally, the deal breaker, my Sandisk Extreme Pro just disconnects after 30-45 mins. So I returned it. Too bad. I really really really wanted to like it.

Quit after six months

I only bought Belkin because I was familiar with the brand and thought it would be quality. The gigabit port only operated at 100meg, could never get it higher. But I really used it for the dual HDMI to run two monitors. Because of this experience I refuse buy Belkin products ever again!
