    This hub works flawlessly with both my M1 MacBook Air and my wife's iPad Air. The display connects about as quick as something like a Mac mini would with cdmi. The hub itself does take 15W of power though so you'll need a larger charging brick if you want to passthrough charge your MacBook.

    I purchased a very expensive multi port dock for my laptop. It gave me nothing but trouble, even with great reviews. I looked on line and found this dock at Best Buy. I purchased this for a fifth the cost of the original docking station, and this unit gives me everything I need without any issues whatsoever.

    I have been using this for almost a year while working from home with my work laptop, a Dell Latitude 5510. I am able to connect 2 external monitors without any issues. I keep getting warnings before booting up and from Windows after booting up that I am using the wrong charger. But everything is fine. I have the unit plugged into the USB-C port on the laptop and the charger plugged into the unit. The laptop does charge.
