Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It's not terrible for low-powered stuff (ex. external SSD, charging), but it will literally brick anything that requires a high voltage. My engineering project in school was hooked up via USB for testing, and it made a whirring sound before making one of the capacitors extremely hot, burning me and then making it so all my components died on me. I thought Belkin made good products until...

For the last 3 weeks it keeps dropping my internet, and even Wi-fi won't get through until I unplug the Belkin. Their customer support explained I need to unplug everything from the unit and restart my computer to get it working again. This is unacceptable.

Insufficient Product Info

Why would the Specifications actually specify what kind of cables you can plug in? This might be what I am looking for; but, after receiving two wrong products over the last days, I am not going to bother. So low rating for the product is, once again, due to the info or lack of info provided about it!
