I purchased it to add a larger screen for my son’s school Chromebook that only had a USB-C port. I was able to add a monitor by HDMI & use the USB-A to connect a wireless keyboard & mouse. It’s much easier now for him to complete his homework.

I was able to add an extra screen, 2 externals hard drives and my audio interaces to work on misic. Having the extra ports makes a world of difference. 5 stars for sure!!

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed this dongle for the two usbs and hdmi ports on the device, I don't know if I would count the "power delivery" port as part of the 4-in-1, because it just seems like that is the default. You removed a port for charging, so you need to add it back in. That's my only complaint. I used the dongle for gaming periferals that are 1ms response time and I didn't experience any signal drop or lag. The item works really well.

If you have a newer Macbook or computer with only USB-C ports and need just one or two extra USB A ports, then this is for you. I use it with my M1 Macbook pro, to help connect to my external monitor, wired keyboard, and wireless mouse dongle (USB).
