I bought a new PC and discovered that Ethernet ports are out of fashion. If you have a need to hook up directly to Ethernet through cable, like setting up a router for the first time, this is the device you will need. It plugs into your mini USB-C port. The LED status lights are handy for troubleshooting. Importantly, there is a USB-C charging port next to the Ethernet port so that you can simultaneously run Ethernet and charge your PC. This is very handy for a home office setup in which you prefer a secure Ethernet connection instead of going WiFi.

Worked great connecting my MacBook to my Ethernet network. Worked flawlessly and charged the laptop at the same time.

It does what I need it to as far as being able to connect to ethernet when no wifi is available but. My battery keeps going down, even while plugged up the the charger.

Exactly what I needed. Provides the ability to connect to the internet via cat 5, while charging may Samsung Tablet at the same time

Adapter works great for whenever you need to hook up a network (Ethernet) cable to your laptop (or desktop computer). It's small enough and light enough to carry it around in your laptop bag all of the time, to have it available whenever you needed it. (Of course, you will also need the Ethernet cable itself.)

This may be better suited for a Mac. It over heated and stopped working with my HP laptop after about 50 minutes. Up until then, it worked wonderfully.

Perfect solution for use with iPad and an Ethernet cable while also supporting a power cable for charging.

Purchased this for my MacBook Pro a while back and here to update anyone that's reading this and is undecicive about whether to buy this or not. Definitely DO BUY IT!

Nice and Useful Ethernet port for newer MacBooks and very easy to use

I use this with my Chromecast with Google TV and it works great to not have to use wifi! Keep in mind that the USB C port on it is usb 2.0 so you won't be able to hit the full 1gbit, but 480mbit is plenty to steam 4k blu rays. You will also need a higher wattage USB C PD power supply to power both this and the Chromecast (at least 18w)

Pretty basic piece of hardware. It does what it's meant to do. I use it to adapt my ethernet into a usc c for my Asus laptop. Once a week or so my laptop will say it can't connect to the internet. I only need to unplug it and plug it back into my laptop and it works fine.
