Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I plugged it into a Samsung Galaxy S9 phone, attached my charging cable to the USB-C port on the adapter, ran ah HDMI cable from the adapter to my TV and synced a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to the phone. Samsung DeX gave me a responsive, working desktop. This will be the near future for most people. We carry a computer in our phones. The phone will stay charged with this adapter.

It’s multi functional and an essential tool for the MacBook. At its price you can’t beat its function. It’s one of the cheaper options available on the market and I recommend it for anyone who needs a USB Mac extension.

Had a hub that has HDMI port but only at 30Hz and the display output was not great. This was at 60Hz, matches the output of macbook pro and hence improved the display output in the external monitor. Owned it for almost a month now and no issues so far.

For reference, I use it to connect my MacBook Pro to an external monitor, and the image looks pristine, so it's perfect for creative content creation.

I connected a samsung phone to it and it did takea little bit of connecting and disconnecting to get it to work but that might have just been me... otherwise it works perfectly. The kids enjoy it!
