    Although frustrating that we needed to buy it to begin with, this does exactly what we need it to do. My son's original laptop for school died, so he got a replacement. Unfortunately the replacement did not have an HDMI input for his monitor. This allows us to use one of the two USB ports on the laptop to link the monitor. Unfortunately it also meant that we needed a USB hub, so he could also use his mouse, keyboard and headset too. Pretty soon we'll be taken over by wires!
