Stopped working after two months

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Initially this worked well- sometimes I would have to unplug and plug back in a couple times to get it to work, but generally it was working fine.. But then it stopped working after two months. Specifically The phone charging port no longer works so it won’t charge the phone. This function was the whole reason I bought this specific version. I paid a lot more to buy a trusted brand name so it wouldn’t stop working in a couple months, but perhaps I should have just bought a cheaper off brand version ...

After clearing the notification, it pops right back up. I bought this for work and have not used it after trying it on multiple displays and machines. I went too long to get a refund so it's a $35 paperweight in the closet now.

Randomly stopped working

I thought it was the monitor, then thought it was my power source, then my laptop... troubleshot every device and cable, finally found it was the adapter that stopped working?! Never had this happen before, but everything else works just fine... Frustrating.

When I contacted Belkin their response was verbatim "Kindly try to charge either one of these devices if you have: iPad mini 6th Gen MacBook Pro 13" M1 (2020) MacBook Air 13" M1 (2020) Mac mini M1 (2020)" If it can charge these devices, it should charge anything. May be they should advertise it works only with these devices.

While the $69 Apple converter worked fine; I was looking for a more value based alternate. I realized CalDigit did manufacture a $19 and it works great. Not sure why Best Buy does not carry CalDigit products. I can state that I can run 2 external screens with my Mac Pro with no issues. Appreciate BB accepting the return.

Does Not Work

It would plug into my laptop, but when I plugged the HDMI cord in, it would not stop making noises on my computer with continuous error. The HDMI cord plugs into other laptops with ease, just using this converter has made it not possible for my new laptop.
