The store employee stated this was the one I needed. It did not work as I needed. It is not the fault of the cable or the employee for that matter; it was just the wrong application. Good news is Best Buy took it back without issue; good customer service

My wife plugged it into her tablet then plugged the charger in and the HDMI into the monitor. The battery went dead on the tablet, so evidently it will not charge and transfer the image to a monitor.

Incompatible with iPad

The image dropped consistently, once every 1-2 minutes without warning. Upon purchasing the proprietary cable directly from Apple, the problem went away. If you are intending to use this with an iPad, DO NOT BUY.

Very bad business practices.

The Belkin AVC002 is compatible with mobile devices and laptops that have a video-enabled USB-C port. It has also been tested to work with Thunderbolt™ 3 port-compatible devices. Make sure that your device supports video-enabled USB-C port. Thus, you may try plugging it to another compatible device.
