Connecting What to What USB?

However you have description backwards. It is plugging into a Type C port converting to USB Type A (female) output. This may confuse younger Techs.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The cable is only 3 feet long and thick. On a hunch, I looked up the USB-C spec. For this implementation the length is 1 meter (3 feet). I wish that it was otherwise, maybe an extension cable on the USB-A would work. The cable is thick though and hard to tame.

I needed several products on my MacBook and the same time and I order a couple more adapters via Best Buy website and was able to pick them up within a couple hours. Just wish they were a little cheaper yet you pay for what you get, right?

Tried it in the store before purchase, and it connected properly with the type A usb cable. A little more money than the Insignia, but worth it to have it work better.

I don't have anything with USB C so that port was wasted. Now I can use that port for flash drives, external HDDs, etc. leaving the other USB 3 port open for whatever is needed. The convenience it offers is well worth the purchase price, in my opinion.

When I plugged into my hard drive it blinked once then died. The hard drive was working fine before this. I thought the cable my be dead so I plugged in a USB mouse and it started to pop and smoke, this also caused my brand new computer to shut off. My USB-C port was working fine before I got this cord (tested it with a USB-C flash drive), unsure if it damaged now. On a side note Belkin support was no help when trying to file a claim. Kept transferring me to different departments to ultimately tell me they could not help and I would have to file online. Thank Belkin support team!
