We do have to take turns since it will only charge one device at a time. My wife has an Apple and I have an Android, so we would each need to use separate cords. It is very convenient to be able to just set the phone down to charge.

I was thinking of just buying another to see if I have the same issues but I’m a bit Leary

The charging pad is designed to charger Qi-compatible (wireless charging) devices, and tested with the iPhone 8 later models. I need a charger for all kind of cellphones because noone wants to buy various charges

It has rubber pads on top to prevent your phone from getting knocked off easily. (You can still knock it off but better that others than I use in the last. Also its not finicky charging at all.
