The behavior of the charger is quite unusual and we'd like to check this out further! Try charging another compatible device and do not use phone cases thicker than 3mm for further isolation. Our wireless chargers require direct physical contact between the phone and charger that's why the charging coils inside the phone and the charger must be properly connected and aligned. It is possible that the phone was not properly aligned with the charger that's why it's left uncharged. Making sure that the phone is properly resting on the pad and that the charger itself is placed on a flat and even surface will help.
