If you want wireless charging with out a case

The charger will work with phone case as long as it’s not the more than 3mm thick. And, a rubber will definitely hinder the communication between the charging coils and will cause disconnection. I had to be very careful how I placed my iPhone on it, or it wouldn't charge. Also, the status light showing when it's charging is not visible when the phone is on it, unless it is positioned sideways to the cord, which was inconvenient for where I had it plugged in. I returned it.
