The illuminated blue light while the water is heating gives the kettle an extra touch of class. The water is boiled really fast and is as hot as you could possibly want it. For the price it's an inexpensive way to get a hot beverage.

The pouring area has a small plastic guard over it that makes it not always pour super straight. Otherwise, it heats pretty quickly and looks nice. I wanted something that was mostly glass/metal, and this fits the bill quite nicely.

All I needed was a basic kettle so this works perfect for me. Simple to operate and the blue light is a nice visual indicator that it's heating up and off when done.

The lines to fill are very clear and it's the perfect size to get boiling water within 5 minutes, and has a great white plastic spigot filter built into the lid to keep out dust or anything else that could potentially get into the pitcher when closed.

The Chefman worked great for 2 years and then something on the bottom melted and it crapped out. So, I decided to replace it with this one, a different brand/model. This is a glass carafe which has it's pros and cons. Pros: -you can see exactly how much water you're putting in so you don't waste electricity heating up water you won't use. -it also has a blue light when heating the water and makes for some cheap entertainment for the kids... and me. Cons: -because the carafe is glass, it doesn't retain heat. best to use the water immediately after heating. -no thermometer to tell you the water temp. not a big deal but something to be aware of since some electric kettles tell you the temp.

We've only had it about a month but so far so good! Heats quickly, and the blue light it cool :) Bought it as a Deal of the Day so was very affordable.
