Great kettle but died quickly

Now it leaks boiling water out of the bottom of the pitcher whenever trying to pour. It seems like the bottom plastic/heating piece has come separated from the rest of the unit somehow.

Serious design flaws

The power cable on the base is too thick to fit in the guide hole (seems like the hole was designed for a lighter 220V cable). This makes the base to sit above the cable, causing it to move every time you try to use the kettle. 2. The kettle wobbles on the base and, combined with the first issue, makes it very easy to tip over with hot water, posing a serious safety concern. 3. The net on the spout is too thick and dense so the water pours verrrrrry slowly. I eventually threw it out after 3 months and had to buy a different one.
