No, it doesn't make your bread Gluten Free. If you read the pamphlet it mentions that GF bread is a little different and requires different settings. We like it

Awesome toaster!

The one I had had been with me for almost 30 years and was still going strong; however, it was time for a change. This one is perfect! I haven’t found a thing yet that I don’t like about it.

For most people set between 3 and 4 will work great.

The slots are a tiny bit narrower than my last one but so far nothing has gotten stuck. The darkness dial is taking some getting used to. Overall, a good toaster and it was a good price.

My toasters in the past have burned my bread too much but this one toasts them perfectly. I also haven't ran into any issues with it so far so I would definitely recommend.
