The number settings seemed like a guess as the item came out burnt beyond recognition no matter what settings was selected. The cancel button was not functioning either, so while I'm standing watching over my food being toasted , when it reaches the desired level I would try to press cancel to no avail, each time I would have to physically pry the toast button upwards to make the toaster turn off. It was not idea to stand over each item while toasting and I don't understand why all the buttons and selections are offered of they aren't functional.
