I wasn't looking for a fancy toaster and managed to come upon this while looking through deals of the day on BestBuy and ordered it almost immediately based on feedback from previous buyers. Thanks to them! This unit can toast gluten free bread (more than usual heat as needed) and also a bagel option! It's a neat appliance!

It is not exceptionally fast or anything, but it has some weight to it, u like some less expensive toasters i have seen. It looks good as well. And all mechanical, no digital anything. Thumbs up.

Works until it doesn't

The bagel feature is nice and settings 1-2 work fine, while it lasted. Less than a year and mine has already stopped working. The lever mechanism will not lock in place when pushing it all the way down (yes, debris has been cleaned and it's been unplugged and replugged to no avail).
